Cristo Rey St. Viator Las Vegas College Preparatory will begin classes in the Fall of 2019. Cristo Rey is a network of 32 Catholic High Schools across the country. Enrollment for these schools is exclusively for low-income students. All students work one full day each week in a real, entry-level job through the Corporate Work Study Program to earn a majority of their own education. Students are essentially funding their own education while learning life-changing skills working in real life corporate environments.
On November 8, 2017, Rossi Ralenkotter, President & CEO of LVCVA hosted a very successful Corporate Work Study Luncheon on behalf of Cristo Rey St. Viator Las Vegas College Preparatory. Melissa McKinley, Corporate Work Study Program Coordinator, spearheaded the event. Fr. Tom von Behren, President, along with Conor Heaton, Director of School Growth and Dan Walsh, Vice President, Corporate Work Study delivered an exceptional presentation. Soribel Nunez, Cristo Rey New York Alumnus, conveyed an impactful first hand account of the Cristo Rey experience. A Special THANK YOU to the potential job partners that were in attendance.
